Best for

Dogs who won't tolerate brushing, as a supplement to real dental care

Skip if

You're looking for a primary dental-care method: this is a supplement, not a substitute for brushing or dental chews

Why we picked it

A no-brushing water additive that helps with plaque and breath between real brushing sessions, not a replacement for it. Add a capful to the water bowl daily.

What we like

  • Zero behavior change needed, just add it to the water bowl

What we don't like

  • Water additives are the weakest-evidence category VOHC accepts, meaningfully less effective than chews or brushing

Evaluated against independent veterinary standards, not brand claims. You can see our full methodology here.
